Annapurna is a Sanskrit name that literally means “full of food”, but is normally translated as Goddess of the Harvest. The Annapurna peaks are among the world’s most dangerous mountains to climb. By March 2012, there had been 191 summit ascents of Annapurna 1 and 61 climbing facilities on the mountain.
You can visit Annapurna Base Camp in Helicopter. That will be the fastest way to reach Base Camp and you will also be able to view the spectacular views of Machhapuchhara (Mt Fishtail), Annapurna 1 and 2 as well as the Dhaulagiri Mountain.
